The History of Sound | Stoke Film Theatre | Hartshill Rd | Fri 6 to Sat 7 Mar
Stoke-on-Trent's independent cinema, Stoke Film Theatre, will be showing The History of Sound on Friday 6 March and Saturday 7 March at 7:45pm.
The cinema is located at The Wade Centre, Hartshill Road.
Stoke Film Theatre said: "The History of Sound chronicles a decades-spanning romance centred around the power of music, starring Paul Mescal and Josh O'Connor."
Tickets are available online at £9.16 for an adult ticket (including booking fees).
Foundling Libraries | Bentilee | Fri 6 Mar
The Foundling Museum will be running free music and storytelling workshops at Bentilee and Meir Library over four sessions.
The next session will take place on Friday 6 March from 10:30am to 11:30am.
The Foundling Museum said: "These creative workshops are for 0-5 year olds and their parents/carers, and will be led by professional musicians and storytellers.
"We'll explore the origins of London's 18th-century Foundling Hospital through games, crafts, and music."
There is no need to book in advance and children must be accompanied by an adult.

Repair Cafe | Chesterton | Sat 7 Mar
Social Connective CIC are inviting people to join them for their Newcastle's Repair Café at the Community Hive, Chesterton United Reformed Church in Chesterton from 10am to 2pm
The organisers said: "Newcastle's Repair Café where you can bring your items to be repaired for free, including electricals, textiles, and household (excluding appliances, watches, clocks and smart devices).
"Amelia's Pop Up Café serving a tasty selection of cakes, baked goods and hot and cold drinks."

Middleport Artisan Market | Burslem | Sat 7 to Sun 8 Mar
The Middleport Pottery Artisan Market will be taking place from 10am to 4pm on Saturday 7 and Sunday 8 March.
The organisers said: "Join us at Middleport Artisan Market on Saturday 7th & Sunday 8th March 2026 for a weekend celebrating local creativity and heritage in the heart of Burslem. "
There will be locally created art, unique homewares, handcrafted gifts and sweet treats.
There is free parking available.

The World of Wedgwood Artisan Market will be taking place on Sunday 8 March from 10am to 4pm.
