Powerleague, based on Dennis Violet Avenue in Stoke-on-Trent, is a popular local sports centre with "world-class facilities" available to hire.

The nationwide company prides themselves on being champions of 5-a-side football with over 42 club sites across the UK.

The Stoke-on-Trent site offers nine floodlit football pitches, organised league facilities, a modern function room with a fully-stocked bar and free parking.

The recently modernised function room hosts a range of events including baby showers and birthday parties (Nub News).

Club Manager, Keara Calvert, told Stoke Nub News: "We had the function room refurbished back in May and it's fully booked for events every Friday and Saturday.

"We host everything in here from weddings and baby showers to gender reveals and birthday parties - we can offer a DJ or people can provide their own so it's a bespoke service.

"The children's parties are especially popular, they're two hours long and everyone plays games outside before having food and a presentation where the birthday child gets a trophy and everyone gets a pack of Match Attax and some chocolate."

The fully-stocked bar has recently been installed with a range of new lagers on draught (Nub News).

The function room also has a full-stocked bar which has recently seen the installation of a range of new lagers, including Moretti and Heineken.

Situated opposite Bet365 Stadium, Stoke City Football Club home and away fans are welcomed into the bar before every match and only home fans reside there after games.

Keara said: "We're a small team here at Stoke and every club is different but one of our core values is that customers are at the heart of everything that we do."

One of the 7-a-side football pitches is brand-new and is available for bookings now (Nub News).

Powerleague also has six 5-a-side and three 7-a-side floodlit football pitches which can be booked for a small fee but also host walking football sessions and organised league facilities.

Kids Camps are also hosted on the pitches during school holidays and October half term slots are available to book now for only £15 a day 10am-3pm or parents can drop off their child earlier and collect them later for an extra fee.

The popular centre also hosts corporate events and tournaments and in addition to its men's league games, is looking to set up a women's football team.
