Two men jailed after woman violently attacked in Stoke-on-Trent

Two men have been jailed after a woman was brutally attacked at a block of flats in Stoke-on-Trent.
Jake Eardley, 33, of no fixed address and Lewis Proctor, 28, from Meir have now been jailed for the assault.
Eardley filmed while he kicked the victim's head and stamped on her face before she was dragged across the floor in a violent attack on 25 November 2024 in Meir.
Proctor arrived to help Eardley drag the victim up to a nearby flat.
The woman escaped from a window when the police arrived and once officers found the victim, she was taken to hospital with significant bruising to her head, face, torso and back.
Eardley was then arrested along with Proctor, who was also found with a knife.
Detective Constable Mia Postlethwaite, from the criminal investigations department, said: "This was a particularly violent assault that has no doubt left a lasting effect on the victim.
"Violence, abuse and intimidation against women and girls is a priority for officers and staff across Staffordshire, and we're determined to support victims as much as possible and to act robustly against offenders."
Eardley was sentenced at Stoke-on-Trent Crown Court on Thursday 21 August to 26 months in prison. Meanwhile, Proctor was jailed for 15 months.
Proctor admitted common assault and possession of a knife in a public place while Eardley previously admitted assaulting a person thereby occasioning them actual bodily harm.
