Two men charged with drug supply offences in Newcastle-under-Lyme

Two men have been charged with drug supply offences in Newcastle-under-Lyme after officers seized over £5,000 in cash and cocaine.
Mohammed Aftab, 29, of Newcastle-under-Lyme, and Usama Ahmed, 31, of Stoke-on-Trent, have both been charged with conspiracy to supply a class A controlled drug – cocaine and acquiring / using / possessing criminal property.
Aftab has also been charged with possession with intent to supply a controlled drug of class A – cocaine.
Staffordshire Police confirmed that it comes after a car was searched in Newcastle-under-Lyme on Tuesday 11 August.
Officers seized more than £5,000 in cash and cocaine.
Both men appeared at the North Staffordshire Justice Centre on Thursday (13 August) and were remanded in custody ahead of a hearing at Stoke-on-Trent Crown Court on Friday 11 September.
