Two men arrested after drugs and cash found in car in Stoke-on-Trent

Two men have been arrested after police found drugs, cash and a mobile phone when they searched a car in Stoke-on-Trent.

At around 1.30pm on Saturday 27 July, police stopped a black Vauxhall Astra on King Street in Fenton.

Inside the vehicle police found drugs, approximately £100 cash, a mobile phone and a bottle containing codeine.

Two 20-year-old men, from Stoke-on-Trent, were arrested (Staffordshire Police).

A 20-year-old man, from Stoke-on-Trent, was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply a drug of class B.

Another man, also 20 and from Stoke-on-Trent, was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply a drug of class B, driving a vehicle while unfit through drugs, failing to provide a specimen for analysis, and obstructing/resisting a constable in the execution of their duty.

Both men have been released under investigation while enquiries continue.
