Two people have been charged with burglary offences after officers responded to an alarm activating at a shop in Stoke-on-Trent.

Yesterday (Monday 14 September), officers responded to an alarm activating at Burslem Community Grocery on Swan Square.

Staffordshire Police has confirmed that Don Steven Milligan, 43, and Carleen Straugheir, 35, both of no fixed address, have been charged with burglary other than dwelling – theft.

Milligan and Straugheir are both due to appear at the North Staffordshire Justice Centre today (Tuesday 15 September).
