Two people have been arrested in connection with a series of robberies and thefts across Newcastle-under-Lyme and Stoke-on-Trent.
A 23-year-old man, from Newcastle-under-Lyme, has been arrested on suspicion of vehicle theft and two counts of robbery.
A 16-year-old girl, from Stoke-on-Trent, has been arrested on suspicion of vehicle theft.
Staffordshire Police said the arrests come as part of an ongoing investigation into a number of vehicle thefts over the last few days and months.
This includes when a Mercedes was stolen from a car park on Lower Milehouse Lane, Newcastle-under-Lyme, on Friday (12 June).
A spokesperson for Staffordshire Police said: "A teenage boy was dragged from the car but was not hurt."
Both suspects are being questioned in custody today (Wednesday 17 June).
Chief Inspector Cliff Goodwin, from the Newcastle-under-Lyme local policing team, said: "Officers have been completing a number of enquiries to investigate a series of thefts, attempted thefts and robberies in the area, which has culminated in two people being arrested yesterday.
"We don't underestimate the impact that these types of crime can have on people, both financially and emotionally.
"That's why we're working tirelessly to go after those responsible for these crimes and to act robustly against those involved in Newcastle-under-Lyme and wider Staffordshire."
