Three arrested following woman’s death in Stoke-on-Trent

Three people have been arrested following the death of a woman in Stoke-on-Trent. 

Police were called at 8.20am on Sunday 9 February to Bank Hall Road in Burslem following "concerns for the welfare of a woman". 

A woman, in her 40s, was pronounced dead by paramedics from West Midlands Ambulance Service at the scene. 

"We are currently treating her death as unexplained," a Staffordshire Police statement said.

"Her next of kin has been informed and is being supported by specialist officers at this difficult time."

Three people, a woman aged 30, a man aged 30 and another man aged 38, all from Stoke-on-Trent, have all been arrested in connection with the death while investigations continue. 

"We would urge members of the public to refrain from speculating on social media as we conduct our inquiries," the statement continued.

"Anyone with relevant information, dashcam or CCTV footage should contact us on 101 quoting incident number 162 of 9 February. 

"To report anonymously, contact Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111."
