A set of temporary traffic lights will be installed on a busy road in Stoke-on-Trent this week.

Multi-way signals will be in place overnight on Victoria Road, near the junction with Hitchman Street, between 7 and 10 August.

The lights will be in place whilst Severn Trent Water install a new service connection.

A Severn Trent spokesperson said: "We're installing four new water connections on Victoria Road this week.

"We want to complete these works as quickly and safely as possible which means that we'll be using some temporary traffic management. However to minimise disruption we've agreed with the council that we will be working between 7pm-11pm and will be clearing the traffic management from the road each evening.

"We completely understand that roadworks can be inconvenient and would like to thank everyone in advance for their understanding while we complete these important connections."
