Teenager taken to hospital following collision on busy Stoke-on-Trent road

A teenager has been taken to hospital following a road traffic collision involving a van and a pushbike in Stoke-on-Trent today (29 January).

Police, an ambulance, paramedic officer and Critical Care Car attended the scene on Dividy Road, Bucknall, this morning. 

A spokesperson for West Midlands Ambulance Service said: "We were called at 11.24am to a road traffic collision involving a van and a pushbike on Dividy Road in Bucknall, Stoke-on-Trent. 

"Upon arrival we found a teenage male who was a passenger on the pushbike. He was assessed by ambulance staff and had sustained injuries not believed to be serious. 

"He received treatment at the scene and was conveyed to Royal Stoke University Hospital for further assessment."

Staffordshire Police confirmed that the boy was 14 years old and suffered injuries to his foot.
