Teenager pleads guilty to assaulting and robbing another boy in Hanley last month

A 14-year-old boy has admitted assaulting and robbing another boy in Stoke-on-Trent last month (December 2022).

Police were called to Bryan Street, Hanley, at around 3pm on 26 December following reports of violence.

A 13-year-old boy was taken to hospital for treatment of neck and leg injuries. He has since been discharged.

A 14-year-old boy, who cannot be named for legal reasons, appeared at Stoke-on-Trent Crown Court last Wednesday (25 January), where he pleaded guilty to a total of nine offences including wounding and robbery.

He was remanded in custody ahead of a sentencing hearing on 24 March.
