Teenager arrested after police seize off-road bike in Stoke-on-Trent

A teenage boy has been arrested after an off-road bike was seized as part of police efforts to tackle anti-social behaviour across Stoke-on-Trent.

Police were called to a petrol station off James Brindley Way, Tunstall, at around 2pm yesterday (21 April) after an orange KTM motorbike without any registration plates.

The boy who was riding it tried to run away, but failed. He assaulted the officer who arrested him. 

A 17-year-old boy has been arrested on suspicion of assaulting an emergency worker (Staffordshire Police).

A spokesperson for Staffordshire Police said: "The officer suffered minor injuries and stayed on duty.

"After checking the bike and finding out it was also uninsured, we seized it. 

"A 17-year-old boy, from Stoke-on-Trent, was arrested on suspicion of assaulting an emergency worker. 

"He has since been released under investigation while enquiries continue."
