Teenager arrested after man left unconscious following 'serious assault' in Hanley

A teenager has been arrested after a man in his 20s was left unconscious following a serious assault in Hanley.

At around 5.45am on Sunday (4 February), there was a fight outside Groove Castle club on Trinity Street in Hanley. The victim received treatment at the scene.

A 17-year-old boy, from Stoke-on-Trent, was arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm with intent. He has since been released on conditional bail, whilst enquiries continue.

A man in his 20s was left unconcious and received treatment at the scene (West Midlands Ambulance Service).

Officers say: "We are keen to speak to anyone else who saw what happened or those with information that can help us.
