A new café has opened this week at the Goods Yard in Stoke - and you can get a drink for free on Saturday.

Café and bakery business Cotton, which already has branches in Manchester, has opened a new counter on the ground floor of the 174-apartment building this week.

To celebrate, the business is serving up free hot drinks all day long on Saturday 5 July, which they say includes tea, coffee and everything in between.

The counter has a range of pastries and cakes which will be available daily. (Nub News)

The indie coffee brand says customers can expect fresh coffee, juices, pastries and cakes seven days a week. And a new menu is set to launch featuring artisan sandwiches and fresh salads.

Chris Griffith, Founder of Cotton, said: "We've poured a lot of love into creating Cotton, it's a space that's all about quality, comfort and community.

''Whether you're grabbing a coffee on the go or sticking around for a slice of cake and a chat, we want it to feel like a proper little haven in the heart of Stoke.

"We're buzzing to get it open and welcome everyone on Saturday 5th July in for a brew on us."

Prices for coffee at the counter were £3.30 each for a latte, flat white, americano or cappuccino and £3.70 for the iced versions. Tea is £2.75 and bottled soft drinks start at £1.60.

Tom Wilmot of Capital&Centric, said: "Cotton's opening gives a taste of what's to come, and we've still got some brilliant commercial spaces available for like-minded operators who want to be part of something a bit different.

"Whether it's food, drink, retail or wellness, we're looking for independents that add to the energy."
