The Potteries Centre, Hanley, is calling all local start-ups and small businesses to consider setting up shop in Stoke's leading shopping destination.

Situated on the upper mall, The Potteries' pop-up shop helps to bring the best of local independents and small businesses to the city centre where shoppers can experience new and exciting products that might not be available at other stores.

The pop-up shop also provides a unique opportunity for local entrepreneurs to test their business ideas without the high costs associated with opening a store.

Most recently, Aroma Obsession set up in the pop-up, offering shoppers unique home fragrance products such as candles, bath bombs and reed diffusers.

Following its successful trial and popularity with customers, Aroma Obsession has now signed up to a two-year lease, located on the lower mall.

Keep it Local, a regular occupant of the pop-up shop, supports 45 local small businesses and independent makers, bringing together an eclectic mix of brands and products for shoppers while showcasing the creators' work.

The success of Keep it Local led to their winning 'Independent of the Year' at The Potteries Centre Retail Awards 2023.

Amy Whittaker, Center Manager said: "At The Potteries Centre, we strive to get behind local businesses to ensure that we provide shoppers with something truly special and unique.

"We have been able to support small independents and give them a platform to show off their brilliant products and we're keen to encourage others to get in touch about our pop-up shop.

"We hope to welcome many more in the future and play a part in their future successes within the community."

Keep it Local supports 45 local small businesses and is a regular occupant of the pop-up shop (The Potteries Centre).

Wayne Jarvis, Owner of Aroma Obsession said: "Setting up in the pop-up shop was the perfect opportunity for us to establish ourselves in Stoke-on-Trent and test out our business in a new area.

"It allowed us to become familiar with the locals and we felt so welcome from the moment we arrived.

"We are so pleased we took this leap of faith and are excited to continue our journey in The Potteries Centre."
