A Stoke-on-Trent pub has officially reopened its doors following a 'six-figure' refurbishment.
The Weathervane, a Hungry Horse pub on Lysander Road in Meir reopened today (Friday 6 March) showcasing its 'top-to-bottom' renovation to guests.
The pub, part of pub company and brewer Greene King, now has new furniture, signage, décor and lighting, both inside and outside.
A new bar area has also been created and the sports and entertainment offerings expanded with additional TV screens, now showing Sky Sports and TNT Sports, an upgraded sound system and a brand-new darts lane.
Terri Alcock, general manager of the Weathervane, said: "We're delighted to be welcoming the local community back through the doors of the Weathervane following our refurbishment.
"Our aim has always been to create a warm, inviting space where everyone feels at home, and the transformation has truly helped us achieve that."
To celebrate the relaunch, the Weathervane invited Zena Gallimore, the pub's longest serving team member, to cut the ribbon marking the pub's official opening.
The pub also donated to City of Stoke Football Club in an effort to support local community initiatives.
Terri added: "The Weathervane has long been a hub for people to come together, and we're pleased to be able to offer better-than-ever experiences for our guests, whether you're looking for a spot to catch up with friends over a delicious meal, enjoy a quick drink or support your favourite team on matchdays.
"We can't wait for everyone to experience the new and improved Weathervane and enjoy everything it has to offer!"
