A Stoke-on-Trent petrol station has reopened today (9 June) after being closed for nearly two months for 'essential maintenance work'.

In April, a notice was put outside Tesco petrol station in Meir Park which read: "This garage will be closing on 16 April to 9 June. Sorry for any inconvenience."

A spokesperson for Tesco said the station was closing "to allow us to carry out essential maintenance work and to replace the fuel dispensers on site."

'Essential maintenance work' has been carried out at the Meir Park site (Nub News).

Following eight weeks of work, the petrol station reopened today.

This comes as Longton Tesco petrol station prepares to close on 19 June until 21 July.
