Summer Steaming @ Etruria Industrial Museum

A Summer Steaming event will take place on Saturday 27 July (Etruria Industrial Museum).

Jesse Shirley's 1857 Potters' Mill will be in steam and operating on Saturday 27th and Sunday 28th July - a chance to see a piece of local industrial heritage in action!

The museum and visitor centre will be open from 10.30am, with the mill running from 12.30pm until 4.30pm.

There will also be blacksmith demonstrations in the on-site Forge, and the museum will be showing the film of the restoration of the Caldon Canal to celebrate 50 years since its reopening.

Middleport Artisan Summer Market

The market takes place on Saturday 27 July between 10am and 4pm (Middleport Artisan Summer Market).

Organisers say: "Don't miss the local makers and bakers of Middleport Artisan Markets for locally produced homewares, unique gift ideas, original art and homemade treats".

Messy Church: Wacky Olympics

This event takes place in Fenton on 27 July between 10am and 12pm (Fenton Nazarene).

Messy Church: Wacky Olympics is coming to Fenton on Saturday July 27th from 10am to 12pm and includes crafts, celebration and a community meal. There is no fee to enter but donations are welcome.

An Olympic theme will run through all events on the day and there will also be stories and songs, food and drink. 

Stoke Film Club - Dune (1984)

The Potteries Museum & Art Gallery will be showing Dune (1984) on Friday 26 July as part of its Film Club.

Refreshments are available from 6pm and during the interval, film starts at 7pm.
