Autumnal Display and Pumpkin Picking

World of Wedgwood have a wonderful autumnal display in its courtyard all month and are inviting visitors to take part in pumpkin decorating sessions.

The sessions take place in Josiah & Co. everyday between 10am and 5pm.

Strange Stoke

Strange Stoke takes place in Hanley on Saturday 5 October (Captain's Bar).

Strange Stoke is a live music show taking place at Captain's Bar, Hanley, on Saturday 5 October.

DJs Simon Briggs and Nexus-9 will be showcasing the best in goth and post-punk.

Tickets cost £5 in advance or £8 on the door.

Stoke-on-Clay Festival

Don't forget a popular ceramics festival, Stoke on Clay, is still running with more events and exhibitors than ever before. 

The independent, voluntary-run festival runs from 7 September until 19 October at venues in Stoke, Burslem and Newcastle-under-Lyme, including landmark new venues.

There will also be six factory tours on offer during the six-week event and 68 exhibitors.

Banjos & Bottom Knockers

This new play is being performed between 3 and 5 October (Manor Theatre Company).

Banjos & Bottom Knockers is a play with songs for The Potteries starring Ernest Vernon, Stuart Ellis and David Keen.

The show - which is set in a fictitious pot bank in 1956 - is being performed at Middleport Pottery between 3 and 5 October.

Organisers say: "Join us for this original play with songs, set in a pot bank with potteries dialect and accent. Suitable for ages 16 and over."

Located on Longton Road and Station Road, the venues serve a range of Titanic ales as well as coffees and a varied food menu.
