Christmas Lights Switch On

Stoke will be lit up for Christmas on Friday 15 November (Stoke Minster).

Stoke town's Christmas light switch on takes place at Stoke Minster on Friday 15 November.

Organisers say: "Join us for a festive evening of cheer and celebration and watch the Lights Switch On with help from Lou Macari."

There will be a live brass band, choir, unique gifts from artisan stalls, refreshments available and local businesses open for browsing.

Middleport Pottery Christmas Festival

Middleport Pottery's Christmas Festival takes place this weekend (Middleport Pottery).

Middleport Pottery's annual Christmas Festival takes place on Friday 15 November from 6pm.

The Festival comprises entertainment, children's activities, live music, stalls, hot food vendors and a bar serving festive tipples.

Tickets cost £6 and under 9's go in free.

Ceramic Makers Market

Entry into the Ceramic Makers' Market is completely free (Stoke-on-Trent City Council).

The hugely successful Ceramic Makers' Market is making its long-awaited return to Gladstone Pottery Museum, Stoke-on-Trent, this weekend. 

Over 50 local and national ceramicists will be in attendance including former contestants from The Great Pottery Showdown - Jan Morgan, Lucinda Lovesey and Andrew Macbean.

Visitors will be able to browse a wide variety of stalls that will offer bespoke works of art for sale on the day, ranging from traditional works to abstract pieces – all made of clay. 

The Ceramic Makers' Market takes place at the Gladstone Pottery Museum on Saturday 16 November from 11am to 4pm. Entry is free and advance booking is not required.

If you're looking for something a little bit more relaxing, don't forget bod cafe bars are open all weekend. 

Located on Longton Road and Station Road, the venues serve a range of Titanic ales as well as coffees and a varied food menu.
