The team at Currys on Festival Park are looking for a new account executive to join their team. The role is in Currys' business team.

Repairs and Maintenance Service apprenticeships | Stoke-on-Trent City Council

Stoke-on-Trent City Council has released details of four new Apprenticeship positions at its newly created Repairs and Maintenance Service, which was established when Unitas was bought in-house in April 2025. 

The closing date for the positions in electrical engineering, gas engineering, plumbing and joinery is 12 June 2025. Applications are welcomed from students taking GCSEs or A-Levels this year as well as anyone looking to make a career change.

Group Security Officer | Newcastle and Stafford Colleges

NSCG is looking for a group security officer to join its team based at Stafford College. The role will require flexible working across both Newcastle and Stafford campuses when required.

The advert says: "The successful applicant will be expected to work across both the Newcastle and Stafford campuses so flexibility will be required over working hours, as there is a requirement to work a shift pattern to fit in with the full college day up until 9pm. Some weekend working will also be required from time to time."

Research Associate in PLATO Benchmark Stars | Keele University

This post represents an exciting opportunity to join Keele University's Astrophysics Research Centre in the Faculty of Natural Sciences.

The successful candidate will work with Dr Pierre Maxted and colleagues within the Astrophysics Research Centre at Keele University, as part of an STFC-funded project to use advanced data analysis techniques to generate high-quality data for benchmark stars in eclipsing binary systems, and to use these data to calibrate stellar models that will be needed to accurately characterise planetary systems discovered by European Space Agency PLATO mission.

Catering Assistant | Institute of Technology, Stafford

NSCG is looking for a part-time catering assistant to join their catering department at the Stoke-on-Trent and Stafford Institute of Technology in Stafford.

The advert says: "To be successful, you will have previous experience of working in a catering or customer service environment and be energetic and enthusiastic with the ability to work on own initiative and as part of team. You will hold a NVQ Level 2 Food Preparation and Cooking or equivalent."
