Keele University opens new campus in Greece

Keele University is opening a new European campus in Greece with the aim of widening access to education.
A ceremony marking the official launch of 'Keele University, Greece' took place in Athens after the Education Ministry there authorised the North Staffordshire University to establish a University Legal Entity in the country under new legislation.
The move will allow Keele University to deliver UK degrees to students in Greece, widening access to world-class education.
Speaking at the official opening of the campus, Professor Kevin Shakesheff, Vice-Chancellor of Keele University, said: "We are thrilled to announce Keele University's first European campus in Athens.
"This milestone reflects our commitment to delivering world-class education beyond the UK and creating opportunities for students to thrive in a truly global learning environment."

Programmes on offer at the Greek campus include BSc (Hons) Bioengineering (Regenerative Medicine), BSc (Hons) Psychology with Neuroscience, BA (Hons) English Language and Literature, LLB Law and MSci Forensic Science with Policing (Integrated Masters).
The courses will be delivered at a new Athens campus which will feature state-of-the-art laboratories, innovation hubs, and collaborative learning spaces.
Supported by Metropolitan College – Greece's largest private education provider – the new campus building advances Keele's long-term international ambitions without requiring new capital investment by the University.
Professor Shakesheff added: "Keele University, Greece, will deliver innovative and high-quality education, and an outstanding experience for students in Greece across a range of new programmes."
