Danger: Diabolik | Stoke Film Theatre | Hartshill Rd | Fri 18 Sept

Stoke-on-Trent's independent cinema, Stoke Film Theatre, will be showing The Odyssey on Friday 18 September at 7:45pm. The film is 12A and has subtitles

The cinema is located at The Wade Centre, Hartshill Road.

Stoke Film Theatre said: "Danger: Diabolik is a stylish cult classic based on the iconic Italian comic series by Angela and Luciana Giussani, following the exploits of master thief Diabolik.

"Clad in a sleek, skin-tight black body suit, Diabolik (John Phillip Law) and his glamorous accomplice Eva Kant (Marisa Mell) operate from a cavernous, high-tech underground hideout, plotting daring, often absurd, heists.

"They consistently outwit Inspector Ginko and his league of not-so-extraordinary detectives."

Gladstone Pottery Museum Open Day | Longton | Fri 18 Sept

As part of Heritage Open Days, Gladstone Pottery Museum will be hosting an open day from 10am to 5pm on Friday 18 September.

The organisers said: "Gladstone Pottery Museum enables visitors to experience what conditions were like for the men, women and children who worked at the centre of the world's pottery industry.

"Visit the Tile Gallery featuring one of the best decorative tile collections in the country and 'Flushed with Pride' a remarkable gallery dedicated to the history of the toilet. A fun noisy, touchy feely display, kids will love it!"

Repair Cafe | Audley | Sat 19 Sept

Social Connective CIC will be running the Newcastle Repair Cafe at St. James' Church Hall, Church St, Audley from 10am to 2pm on Saturday 19 September.

The organisers said: "Newcastle's Repair Café where you can bring your items to be repaired for free, including electricals, textiles, and household (excluding appliances, watches, clocks and smart devices)"

Amelia's Pop Up Café will be serving a selection of cakes, baked goods and hot and cold drinks.

Hanley Park Heritage Open Day | Sat 19 Sept

As part of Heritage Open Days, the Friends of Hanley Park will be celebrating the history of Hanley Park and the ordinary lives that have helped bring it to life over the years.

The event will take place on Saturday 19 September from 11am to 2pm.

The oragnisers said: "This is a day to discover the stories behind the park — from gardening and care for its landscape, to the people, activities and events that have animated the park across generations.

"And there's plenty of fun for all the family too!"

There will be music and activities during the event including the There & Back Light Railways, clay making crafts and face painting.

Keele Hall Open Day | Sun 20 Sept

As part of Heritage Open Days, the historic landscape, buildings and grounds of Keele University will be open for the public to explore this weekend.

The event will run from 11am until 3pm on Sunday 20 September, featuring a range of tours, talks and activities exploring this rich heritage.

Guests will also have an opportunity to make their own mark on the estate with interactive craft activities.

Kerry Jones from ArtsKeele, which is hosting the event, said: "There is something especially lovely about opening the doors of this historic space at the start of the academic year, inviting visitors to step inside and enjoy discovering Keele's rich heritage."
