Retro train to pass through Stoke-on-Trent this month

Local residents will be treated to a blast from the past this month, with a retro train due to call at Stoke-on-Trent soon.
The Mancunian Princess, an InterCity 125 train, will be visiting Stoke-on-Trent on Friday 29 May at 12.18am.
It will pick up passengers at Stoke-on-Trent station on its way from Manchester to Princess Risborough.
The departure times are as follows:
- Bury (ELR) - 9.58am
- Manchester Victoria - 10.59am
- Stockport - 11.30am
- Stoke-on-Trent - 12.18am
- Tamworth Low Level - 12.49am
- Nuneaton - 1.05pm
- Milton Keynes Central - 14.08pm
And the arrival times are:
- Reading - 3.20pm
- West Ruislip 4.13pm
- High Wycombe - 4.35pm
- Princess Risborough - 4.46pm
Standard class tickets are available from £79.
First class non-dining tickets are also available, from £119.
The InterCity 125 was first introduced to Britain's railways in 1976. It was named after its top operational speed of 125 miles per hour.
It is regarded as a classic locomotive, made unique by its distinct wedge-shaped nose, devised by industrial designer Sir Kenneth Grange.
