An incredibly popular ice cream parlour in Stoke-on-Trent has reopened today (3 May) following a huge refurbishment.

Bobby's Ice Cream Parlour and Tea Rooms, based on Hulme Lane, is a family-run business owned by Craig and Natalie Taylor.

The popular business closed around eight months ago - following a very busy summer period - for a huge refurbishment.

A brand-new indoor seating area has been installed, where cold food such as sandwiches, baguettes and (of course) ice creams will be sold.

A beautiful indoor seating area has been installed as part of the refurbishment (Nub News).

Natalie told Nub News: "Following on from feedback we had last year, everyone said they wanted to sit inside so we've put in this seating area."

As well as Snugbury's ice cream, there is a huge range of locally made cakes and cheesecakes available in addition to a selection of hot and cold drinks.

The venue is completely wheelchair accessible and even has a soft play area for under twos, complete with beautiful wall art.

Natalie continued: "It's gone from an ice cream parlour to much more than that. There's been a few challenges and it's been hard work but Craig has been amazing.

"I'm really looking forward to welcoming new and old customers and hope they like everything we've done."

The popular venue serves a huge range of Snugbury's ice creams (Nub News).

The popular venue already has hundreds of five-star reviews accumulated before closing for refurbishment.

One happy customer wrote: "Brilliant idea [...] I was absolutely blown away by the selection of cakes, they all looked amazing. Staff in the shop are friendly, knowledgeable and helpful".

Another said: "We visited Bobby's in the school holidays for an ice cream and it was fabulous. I really admire what Craig and the team are doing. We can't wait to come back to try some yummy looking cakes".
