The A500 in Stoke-on-Trent is now back open, after it was closed early this morning due to a 'police-led incident'.

National Highways closed a section of the A500 northbound between Hanchurch and Hanford at around 6.30am.

The road reopened at 8.00am but National Highways are still warning of heavy traffic following the closure.
