Popular Comic Con event to take place in Hanley this month

A popular Comic Con event will take place at The Potteries Centre, Hanley, on 15 and 16 July.

Superheroes and movie characters will be roaming around the shopping centre and fans will have the chance to meet Mario, Pikachu, Star Wars characters and a range of superheroes.

As well as meet and greet opportunities, there will also be stalls where visitors can buy toys, collectables, action figures, art and games.

There will also be a cosplay competition with prizes to be won for the best dressed.

Steven Howard, Event Organiser, said: "We're so excited for this Comic Con event at The Potteries Centre, the perfect central location for locals and visitors to enjoy meeting their favourite characters and buy new memorabilia.

There will be meet and greet opportunities, stalls and competitions throughout the centre (Nub News).

"With so many stalls selling Comic Con merchandise and characters around for photo opportunities, this is going to be a great event and we can't wait to welcome avid superhero and movie fans alike!"

Amy Whittaker, Centre Manager at The Potteries Centre, adds: "We can't wait to host Comic Con at The Potteries Centre this July.

"Fans can enjoy a full day out at the centre, meeting their favourite characters as well as enjoying a spot of shopping or grabbing a bite to eat, there is plenty to do. Don't forget to dress up to be in with a chance of winning the cosplay competition!"
