Police uncover 161-plant cannabis grow in Stoke-on-Trent

Police have uncovered a large cannabis grow with 161 plants in Stoke-on-Trent.
Officers from Staffordshire Police made the discovery yesterday (9 October) inside a property off Newcastle Road in Trent Vale after they received intelligence that the address was being used to grow the drug.
A 35-year-old man, of no fixed address, is now being questioned by police on suspicion of cultivating cannabis.
A spokesperson for Staffordshire Police said: "Officers attended a property off Newcastle Road, Trent Vale, yesterday (Thursday 9 October) following intelligence of an active grow.
"A total of 161 cannabis plants were seized. A 35-year-old man, of no fixed address, was arrested on suspicion of cultivating a cannabis plant a class B controlled drug. He remains in police custody for questioning.
