Police make arrests after chocolate tub found 'full of cannabis' in Stoke-on-Trent

Two men have been arrested in Stoke-on-Trent after officers found a chocolate tub and a gym bag "full of cannabis" yesterday (27 May).
Officers from Staffordshire Police stopped a car on Victoria Road in Fenton on Tuesday just after 2:15pm after it was seen "driving at speed".
A search of the car was conducted and officers found a chocolate tub and gym bag both full of cannabis along with a large amount of cash and scales.
Two men aged 22 and 23, both from Stoke-on-Trent, were arrested and later released under investigation. The cannabis has been seized by police.
A spokesperson for Staffordshire Police said: "After officers smelt a strong smell of cannabis, the driver and passenger of the car were searched and officers found a chocolate tub and a gym bag both full of cannabis, a large amount of cash and scales.
"A 22-year-old man, from Stoke-on-Trent, was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply a controlled drug of class B – cannabis.
"A 23-year-old man, from Stoke-on-Trent, was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply a controlled drug of class B – cannabis and driving with a proportion of a specified controlled drug above the specified limit.
"Both men have been released under investigation whilst our enquiries continue.
