Police make arrest after two men stabbed with scissors at Hanley Park

A man has been arrested by police after two people were stabbed with a pair of scissors yesterday evening (13 May) at Hanley Park.
A man in his 30s was stabbed in the leg and a man in his 40s was stabbed in the abdomen after an argument with the attacker.
The suspect approached the pair and pulled out a pair of scissors from a bag before attacking them.
A 24-year-old man, of no fixed address, was arrested by Staffordshire Police on suspicion of wounding with intent and remains in custody.
The two men were hospitalised but it is not thought the injuries are life-threatening.
A spokesperson for Staffordshire Police said: "Officers were called to Hanley Park at 7.20pm on Tuesday (13 May). One man, in his 30s, had been stabbed in the leg. Another man, in his 40s, had been stabbed in the abdomen.
"Both of the victims had been approached by the suspect just before. An argument happened where it was then reported that the suspect took out a pair of scissors from a bag and attacked them both.
"Thankfully, both of the victim's injuries were not deemed life-threatening or life-changing. They were taken to hospital for treatment by paramedics from West Midlands Ambulance Service.
"A 24-year-old man, of no fixed address, has been arrested on suspicion of wounding with intent. He remains in custody.
