Police issue statement after cat thrown out of a car in Stoke-on-Trent

According to eyewitnesses, the cat was thrown out of a car travelling on the A500 near Porthill roundabout (Google).

Staffordshire Police have issued a statement this afternoon (19 October) after a cat was thrown out of a car yesterday.

A spokesperson for the force said: "We were called to reports of a cat being thrown out of a window of a moving car on the A500, near Wolstanton. The incident happened just after 4pm yesterday (Wednesday 18 October).

"The vehicle is described as being purple in colour. Witnesses searched the area and found the injured animal, which was taken for treatment at a veterinary practice in Meir Park. 

"Anyone with any CCTV, dashcam or doorbell footage from the area at the time can call us on 101, quoting incident 447 of 18 October, or message us using Live Chat on our website.
