Police investigate 'deliberate' house fire in Newcastle-under-Lyme

Police are currently investigating a deliberate house fire in Newcastle-under-Lyme.

Fire crews and police were called to High Street, Silverdale, just before 12.40pm on Friday 23 June.

Firefighters extinguished the fire and no one was injured.

After inspecting the cause, it was later deemed to be deliberate.

Fire crews extinguished the blaze using a hose reel jet (Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service).

Police are currently reviewing CCTV footage from the area at the time and are keen to speak to anyone who may have information which could help with the investigation.
