Staffordshire Police are appealing for information after a large amount of sportswear was stolen from a lorry in Stafford.
Police were called to Stafford Services on the M6 southbound at 5.30am on Wednesday (11 January) after the lorry driver, a man in his 50s, reported that a total of 22 pallets containing sports clothing had been stolen.
It is believed that the theft took place sometime between 10am on Tuesday (10 January) and 5am on Wednesday (11 January).
A red and white lorry was seen parked behind the victim's lorry at around 12.45am on the day of the theft.
It was then driven away at around 2am, with four unknown offenders spotted running in the direction of the nearby Roadchef restaurant.
Police are currently reviewing CCTV of the area at the time and urge anyone who saw anything suspicious to get in touch.
Staffordshire Police can be contacted on Facebook, Twitter, or call 101, quoting incident number 087 of 11 January.
