Police appeal for information after man threatened at knifepoint in Hanley

Staffordshire Police are appealing for information after a man was threatened at knifepoint at a park in Stoke-on-Trent.

Police received reports yesterday (22 February) that the victim, a man in his 20s, had been approached by another man at 7.10pm on Tuesday (21 February) at a park on Chell Street, Hanley.

The victim was threatened with a knife by the offender and was then assaulted.

Thousands of Stoke residents visit Central Forest Park every year (Google).

The victim sustained minor head and leg injuries which did not require hospital treatment.

The offender was described as black, in their late teens to early 20s, wearing a black tracksuit and face mask.

Staffordshire Police are appealing to anyone who saw what happened or saw a man matching the above description to get in touch.
