Police appeal for information after cigarettes stolen during Newcastle break-in

Staffordshire Police are appealing for information after a number of cigarettes were stolen during a break-in at a shop in Newcastle-under-Lyme.

Police were called to the address on The Avenue, Kidsgrove at 2.25am on Tuesday (27 December) after two men were seen filling up bags with cigarettes.

They had forced their way into the shop and used a tool to break open the tobacco cupboard.

They left the shop in the direction of Liverpool Road.

Inquiries are ongoing and police would like to speak to anyone with any information.
