Plans have been submitted to Stoke-on-Trent City Council for a brand-new block of flats in Hanley.

The applicant, Mr Narain of Elitehomz Ltd, is seeking permission to build a four-storey building off Ratton Street, Hanley, accommodating 39 studio flats.

The new flats would all be one-bedroom, bedsit style studio apartments.

The development will also provide 18 car parking spaces along with 1 disabled parking space and space to store 40 cycles on racks all located on the ground floor in a secure area.

The site is currently classed as brownfield land and used as a car park, but was previously a row of terraced houses.

The new block will provide 39 one-bedroom apartments (Nub News).

A decision is expected regarding this application in the coming months.
