Pedestrian suffers 'potentially serious injuries' following collision on A500 near Stoke-on-Trent

A pedestrian was taken to hospital with "potentially serious injuries" following a collision on the A500 near Stoke-on-Trent over the weekend.

The A500 was closed northbound between the A34 at Talke and M6 J16 for around four hours on Saturday afternoon (23 November).

A spokesperson for West Midlands Ambulance Service said: "The pedestrian, a man, was assessed and found with potentially serious injuries.

"He received treatment on scene before being conveyed to Royal Stoke University Hospital for further care.

"Two occupants from the car were also assessed but uninjured."
