A North Staffordshire man has pleaded guilty in court after officers found more than 200 indecent images of children on his devices.
Martyn Daniel Birks, 32, of Biddulph, appeared at the North Staffordshire Justice Centre on Tuesday 6 January, where he pleaded guilty to three counts of making indecent photographs / pseudo-photographs of a child.
Birks was arrested in May 2025 after Staffordshire Police received intelligence that he had uploaded indecent images of children on a social media platform.
When he was arrested, officers seized and searched his mobile phone and two tablets, where more than 200 indecent images of children were found.
PC Sam Houghton, from the Staffordshire Police public protection unit, worked on the case.
He said: "When Birks was first interviewed in custody, he stayed silent, but we worked hard to gather evidence against him which has now led to him admitting the offences in court.
"We are committed to taking action against those who make and distribute indecent images of children across Staffordshire."
Birks is due to be sentenced at Stoke-on-Trent Crown Court on Friday 20 March.
