Plans to convert a former Stoke-on-Trent nightclub into flats have been revealed.

Wolverhampton Properties Ltd has submitted a pre-application to turn Trinity House on Trinity Street, Hanley into 23 flats.

The planning application said that the building would be converted into 23 self-contained flats without any external alterations.

The building was previously home to the Groove Castle nightclub.

When consulted, Environmental Health offered no objection to the application, but said that the applicant should put measures in place to safeguard residents from the noise of the town centre before the plans are approved.

Planning officers at Stoke-on-Trent City Council have yet to make a decision on the application.

If the application is approved, it is expected that a more detailed 'reserved matters' application would be submitted before building begins.
