A new burger takeaway will open in Newcastle-under-Lyme today.

The burger takeaway, Get Smash'd, will officially open its second branch on Liverpool Road, Cross Heath, at 4:30pm today (4 November).

To celebrate the opening, Get Smash'd is running a 50% off opening offer all day.

The eatery will serve a range of food such as smash burgers and stir fry dishes including the popular Naga Smash Burger and the Get Stuffed or Die Trying Burger.

Co-owner Hassan said: "We are the home of smash burgers.

"We also have a secret recipe which goes into our stir fry that you will not get anywhere else, that is a guarantee."

Co-owners Hassan and Ash decided to open a second branch in Newcastle following the success of their Crewe takeaway, which regularly receives visits from Stoke-on-Trent customers.

Hassan added: "This time last year we opened the Crewe branch, and we offered 50% off on the opening day. It was spectacular.

"It was absolute mayhem. There were queues outside.

"We did feel a bit bad for the customers stuck in the rain so as a word of advice to anyone planning to come down today, make sure you bring your brolly."

Hassan and Ash also own an award-winning restaurant in Winsford called the Bombay Lounge, which was named Mid Cheshire's Best Restaurant for three years in a row by the Northwich and Winsford Guardian.

The Newcastle branch of Get Smash'd will open today (4 November) at 4:30pm with 50% off all food until closing.
