A brand-new car wash and sales facility is set to be built on a busy road in Normacot, Stoke-on-Trent.

Stoke-on-Trent City Council granted permission on 9 June for vacant land on Uttoxeter Road to be transformed into a car sales facility with a car wash.

Mr Nadeem Taj applied for permission back in February to build his business, which will create four new jobs.

On a drawing submitted as part of the application, it is shown that kerbs will be dropped to allow easy access and there will be separate entrances for the car wash and car sales sections.

Stoke-on-Trent City Council granted permission for Mr Taj to build his business on Uttoxeter Road last week (Nub News).

The new business will be open 8am-9pm every day, including bank holidays.

Case officer, Olivia Rhodes, said: "The proposal is considered to be acceptable in terms of design, amenity and highway safety and would deliver sustainable development.

"Given the above, the application is recommended for approval."
