A new cake shed is opening in Stoke-on-Trent offering a range of bite-sized sweet treats.

Stoke-on-Trent local, Jodie, will be opening her new Baddeley Green bakery business, Honest Bites, this Sunday (23 August).

The cake shed will offer a selection of treats including cakes, rocky road and brownies – all cut into bite-sized pieces.

"Everything is going to be bite-sized," Jodie said.

"So instead of having a massive brownie, they're going to be in little chunks.

"That's always how I've cut them up, and my mum always says that's the perfect amount for one bite."

Jodie, who works for the Stoke City Foundation as well as running her new business, explained that preparations for the opening have been "non-stop" - but she is still enjoying baking.

She said: "I've always liked baking and I've always baked for my friends and family.

"I used to do a lot with my gran when I was little, and it's just sort of grown from there."

To mark the official opening of Honest Bites on Sunday 23 August, there will be samples on offer as well as a spinning prize wheel for customers.

Payment for the cake shed can be made using a cash box or bank transfer via a QR code.

Honest Bites will open at 11am on 23 August at Stoneyfields Avenue, Baddeley Green.
