A new cafe is set to open this weekend in Stoke-on-Trent at the site of the former Vintage Snack Bar & Diner.

Nat's Kitchen on Leek Road in Abbey Hulton will serve full English breakfasts, roast dinners, homemade pies and a variety of other home cooked favourites.

Natalie Hudson has given up her job at a betting shop in Longton to launch the cafe, which will be open from Sunday (9 March).

She told Stoke Nub News: "I do have a big following and I feel very lucky to have the support that I've had.

"I want this to be a community place for people. I want a mums and toddlers group, an OAP group and to continue my charity work, which is a big passion of mine."

Natalie added: "If you're on your own, you're not because we are all here and that is my big passion - giving back to people.

"My inbox has been non-stop, I was so overwhelmed and I couldn't believe how many people were interested when we posted that we would be opening.

"I feel there is massive support behind us and it drives me, you know you're going to be okay."

Natalie previously worked from the Old Bulldog pub in Longton with her menu proving a hit with pup-goers and after helping out at her friend's cafe, she can't wait to start welcoming people through the door at Nat's Kitchen.

Natalie added: "It's an ideal place here in Abbey Hulton because there are not many places that you can dine in around here, there are just a lot of takeaway places.

"I started helping my friend out with her cafe in Longton, and then I just got the bug and wanted my own place and this is the end project hopefully.

"Everyone will be leaving with a smile."
