A national stationery chain is to close one store in Stoke-on-Trent next month.

Ryman, based on The Strand, Longton, will close its doors on 30 November.

A planning application, approved by the council last week, reveals that Card Factory - currently based in Longton Exchange - will be moving into the unit.

A Ryman spokesperson confirmed the lease had been terminated by the landlord (Nub News).

A Ryman spokesperson said: "Following the landlord's termination of the lease, the Ryman store in Longton, Stoke-on-Trent will unfortunately be closing on the 30th of November.

"We are committed to supporting our colleagues through this transition and customers can continue to shop at our nearby Ryman store in Hanley, Stoke-on-Trent."

The store is currently open 9am-5pm Monday to Saturday.
