Man in his 20s fatally injured in Burslem road traffic collision

A man has sadly died following a road traffic collision in Burslem, Stoke-on-Trent, last night.

Paramedics were called to Federation Road, Burslem, at 11.41pm following a collision between a stationery van and a motorcyclist.

Two ambulances, a paramedic officer and a BASICS emergency doctor attended the scene.

A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokeswoman said: "Upon arrival we found a man who was the motorcyclist. Ambulance staff immediately administered advanced life support to him at the scene.

"Unfortunately, despite the best efforts of ambulance staff, nothing more could be done to save him and he was confirmed deceased."

Police and paramedics were called to Federation Road, Burslem, last night (Google).

A Staffordshire Police spokesperson said: "The man, in his 20s, was riding a KTM motorbike when he came into collision with a parked van.

"No-one was inside the van at the time.

"We have deployed specially-trained officers to support his family at this deeply traumatic time.

"Collision investigators are keen to speak to anyone who saw what happened or those with CCTV, dashcam or doorbell footage from the area at the time.

"Call 101, quoting incident 799 of 11 March, or message us using Live Chat on our website."
