A popular McDonalds branch in Stoke-on-Trent has officially reopened after undergoing a 'convenience of the future' refurbishment.

The Meir Park branch was closed for eight weeks whilst the refurbishment programme took place, combining a new layout with the latest technology to create a more seamless experience for customers.

Improvements have been made for staff, with a redesign of the "crew room" which will create a more relaxing and comfortable space for them to take a break.

The popular branch was closed for eight weeks whilst the refurbishment took place (McDonalds).

Kerry Graves, Operations Consultant said: "We are delighted to be welcoming back customers to the Meir restaurant - especially as McDonald's celebrates its 50th anniversary in the UK this year!

"The dining area is more contemporary, and there are now separate facilities for our dine-in customers and our couriers leading to a better experience for everyone. It's exciting to see the fresh new look and feel of the Meir restaurant and I'm confident the changes will not only benefit the customers but also our staff as they will help make their jobs a little easier."

This comes as McDonalds are set to celebrate 50 years in the UK (McDonalds).

There are now dedicated areas for the different ways to order (walk-in, drive-thru and app) and the front counter has been removed meaning customers have more space to enjoy their meal.
