Man taken to hospital with ‘serious injuries’ following stabbing in Hanley

A man has been taken to hospital with serious injuries following a stabbing in Hanley in the early hours of this morning (21 July). 

Police taped off the junction of Trinity Street and Marsh Street this morning and traffic was diverted and bus services redirected. 

A spokesperson for West Midlands Ambulance Service said: "We were called to reports of a stabbing on Stafford Street at 4.05am. Two ambulances, a paramedic officer and a MERIT trauma doctor attended the scene.

"On arrival we discovered one male patient who was treated for serious injuries before being taken to hospital."

Stoke Nub News has approached Staffordshire Police for a statement.
