Man taken to hospital after being attacked by two dogs in Stoke-on-Trent

Staffordshire Police are currently carrying out enquiries following a dog attack in Longton, Stoke-on-Trent yesterday (27 Jan).

Police were called to Lennox Road at 8.57am to reports of two dogs attacking a man.

Armed officers went to the scene alongside paramedics. A man was taken to hospital with injuries to his arms and hands that aren't thought to be serious at this time.

A spokesperson for Staffordshire Police said yesterday: "One of the dogs was seized by officers by 9.10am. A thorough area search has been carried out this morning using drones to search for the second dog, which we think ran away from the area".

An update from Stoke-on-Trent Police this morning says: "A second dog that we understand was involved in the incident on Lennox Road in Longton has been found and secured.

"Both of the dogs believed to be involved in the incident have been secured. 

"Enquiries into the incident are continuing."
