Man sustains 'serious facial injuries' in A500 crash

Staffordshire Police is appealing for information after a man was seriously injured in a crash on the A500.

Officers were called at 7.50pm on Saturday (28 February) to the A500 westbound between Talke and Audley following a collision involving a blue Ford Mondeo and a black Nissan Micra.

The Micra is believed to have broken down before the crash.

One man was taken to hospital with "serious facial injuries" and the driver of the other car, did not report any injuries.

Staffordshire Police officers attended the scene alongside the West Midlands Ambulance Service and Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service.

A spokesperson for Staffordshire Police said: "We are urging anyone who saw what happened or who may have relevant dashcam footage to contact us on 101 quoting incident number 770 of 28 February.

"To report anonymously, call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111."
