Man in court after vehicle set on fire in Stoke-on-Trent

Staffordshire Police has named a man who has been charged after a car was set on fire in Stoke-on-Trent.
One crew from Staffordshire Fire and Rescue was called out to the car fire on High Lane in Burslem on Monday (11 August) just after 1pm and an investigation concluded the fire was started deliberately.
Officers from Staffordshire Police were also at the scene and Steven Broad, 49, from Kidsgrove, has since been charged with arson with recklessness as to whether life was endangered.
Broad is due to appear at North Staffordshire Justice Centre today (Wednesday 13 August).
A spokesperson for Staffordshire Police said: "Steven Broad, 49, from Kidsgrove, Newcastle-under-Lyme, has been charged with arson with recklessness as to whether life was endangered.
"It comes after we were called to High Lane, Burslem, on Monday (11 August) alongside colleagues from Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service following reports of a car on fire."
There were no reports of any injuries from the fire.
